Morning Sun is an oil on canvas painting of a country scene on a summer day. The sun is glowing against a multi-hued sky of light blue, aqua, and lavender. Far in the distance to our right, we see green and brown hills rising behind a house and small buildings. A yellow field, almost triangular in shape, separates this distant home from the small, mossy roof of a cottage on the right side of the painting. Leafy trees shroud the right side of the house from our view. A white rail fence runs diagonally in front of the cottage, hugging the right bank of a stream, which descends past lush green bushes at the left of the painting. Five posts of the white fence guard the left side of the stream, and on both sides of the stream, bushes of red flowers decorate the foreground.

I've been painting since my early teens and was lucky enough to be able to study art in Paris. Now I'm  practicing it full time in the tranquility of Minnesota's north woods. Painting is in my blood, and as my website's name signifies, I paint with my heart & soul.

My work reflects thoughts and dreams, people and places, captured on canvas.
